After losing most everything and having to start over, a Bay Area woman decides to combat rising housing costs by becoming a minimalist and buying a yacht. She makes it her new home while learning to pilot it herself, resulting in new adventures, new trials–and learning to let go.
Deb Guillén Rocchild is a writer and educator in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her passion is embarking on learning journeys and then passing on her discoveries to others. She enjoys wine tasting in neighboring Napa Valley, hiking on the Bay Area Ridge Trail, and traveling locally and internationally. She frequently composes from her floating home, the motor yacht Quijotesca, and plans to someday host writing retreats on board. She took a year off from teaching to write Peace Over Water, much of which was written aboard. This is her first book.
